Is your spiritual or faith journey leading you into uncharted territory?

Spirited Exchanges is a network offering support and encouragement to people who are experiencing faith and its struggles at the edges of or beyond Church.

This network has been inspired by the work of Alan Jamieson, Jenny McIntosh and Spirited Exchanges in New Zealand and shares their ethos.

The network seeks to provide:

  • links for people with a shared interest in spiritual journeys on the edge of or outside churches and other religious groups, and the issues this raises.
  • help to enable you to find or develop your own support groups, resources, and networks.
  • links with Spirited Exchanges in New Zealand and, through their website, with all the resources available there.
  • news of related activities that are taking place in the UK.

Spirited Exchanges UK will:

  • Develop an informal network of people sharing this journey
  • make known existing groups where people might have the opportunity to process the issues and discuss the questions raised
  • help new groups get started
  • listen to stories and encourage the journeys of individuals and groups
  • collect together resources that have been helpful to others on their journeys.

The network has been set up by a coordinating group in response to seminars on Churchless Faith at the Greenbelt Festival, UK, in August 2005.

Many of the Coordinating Group are working in the fields of 'churchless faith' and/or 'alternative church'. We are issuing email news on the progress of this initiative from time to time.  If you would like further information please email Malcolm Chamberlain.

This website supports the network and it is envisaged that it will grow and develop as the network grows. Therefore we would value your suggestions and contributions.

We would like to thank Greenbelt for funding the development of the site.
